Rebecca Blacksmith Interviews Imwave Founder on Leaders Portfolio Show

Last week I was honored to be invited to be interviewed on Rebecca Blacksmith’s Leaders Portfolio radio show.  Leaders Portfolio is a CEO leadership interview show broadcasting in the Washington, DC area hosted by Rebecca Blacksmith.   The show will air at 11am on Wednesday February 3rd on Washington DC’s business talk Radio 1260AM WWRC, and then be available online at LeadersPortfolio.com thereafter. 

I arrived early, and as the first guest on the show, I got a chance to talk to Rebecca and her husband and business partner, Chris Padot.  They are a very bright and dynamic couple with some very good business ideas and a strong desire to give back to the community.  It was a pleasure getting to know them both.

Rebecca has been a student of leadership since birth, with both of her parents being CEOs.  She has received 2 Ivy Degrees from The University of Pennsylvania , and is currently completing her Ph.D. dissertation at Penn as well.  Her current titles include: Bradley Fellow, Earhart Fellow, Fox Distinguished Graduate Fellow, Mumford Fellow, PRRUCUS fellow, Telly Award.  Rebecca was awarded the prestigious Telly Award twice, and in 2009 alone she has won the Angel Award, Communicator Award of Disinction and the Videographer Award of Excellence.

imwave launches tripzam.com!

We have just launched a new website called tripzam.com.  Tripzam is a top brand travel destination site.  Our goal with tripzam is to create top quality travel micro-sites promoting the properties and services of some of our travel partners.

We are initially launching tripzam with 2 luxury trip destinations, Sandals Resorts & Beaches Resorts, and 5 airlines, Alaska Airlines, British Airways, Delta, KLM, and Virgin Atlantic.

I was looking over my Google Stats today an noticed that we have reached a major milestone, we recently served up our 2 Billionth Ad on Google!!!

Google sent us a refrigerator when we had served over 1 million ads, I wonder what 2 Billion should get us?

Free Trial World

We have started working on a new site called FreeTrialWorld.com, where we will highlight partners that offer Free Trials.  Once we have built up enough trials and some organic rankings we will start doing PPC campaigns to this site.

DealZam.com Beta Launch

Today we launched our first Beta version of DealZam.com! 

We have been working on DealZam for a while now, and are happy to get our first beta version out into the public and get some real user feedback.  Please let us know what you think of the site and what features you would like to see in the added in the future.  This site is a work in progress, so please be kind. :-)

Tony Pantano Joins IMWave as CEO

It gives me great pleasure to announce that as of October 1st, 2006, Tony Pantano has officially joined IMWave's management team as the CEO.  I first started working with Tony in 1994 when Sara and I brought Tony in to our first company to help us grow it.  Tony was instrumental in helping us grow and ultimately sell Cyberia in 1998.

Tony was most recently the Regional Vice President of Interactive Media for the York Newspaper Company, where he lead the team responsible for the creation and implementation of all consumer marketing programs and managed the Internet operations for all of MediaNews Group's Pennsylvania newspapers.

Tony has a strong knowledge of marketing and technology and is great with people.  He will be responsible for managing the next phase of IMWave's growth!
